Last night, I grabbed my camera and ran out to the front yard to take a photo of this...
... and saw this at the neighbors right across the street! Our friends, the Sandhill Cranes!
They're so cool...and Evan does an awesome imitation of their unique way of walking! If you look closely, you'll see that there's a double rainbow! Have I told you lately that we LOVE Florida??!

the storm is on the other side of the gulf, heading west toward texas...so far, we've been very fortunate this hurricane season!
a neighbor told us that Florida lore says that the Indians used to come to our part of the state when they thought a hurricane was coming because it was the safest place!
