No that's not us but that's what we did today! Bruce has been dying to go jet skiing since we moved here so today all six of us drove to Siesta Key, rented two jet skiis and spent an hour having a blast! As we were pulling out onto the waterway, a dolphin jumped less than five feet from us! AMAZING! Bruce drove one jet ski with Jonah and Evan. Chelsea drove the other one with Isabella in the middle and me in the back. I'm such a baby and kept telling her to slow down but once we got used to it, we really had fun! There are some unbelievable houses on Siesta Key! There were lots of speed boats so when we hit their wake, we'd catch some serious air! We went back and Jonah, Isabella and I got off and Bruce, Chelsea and Evan went back out...to go fast, cut some tight turns, and flip the jet ski! Everyone was fine except Bruce and Chelsea lost their sunglasses...thank goodness Evan didn't lose his glasses!
After jet skiing, we at a yummy lunch of cocunut-crusted chicken at a restaurant that had open air windows all around. Then we went to the beach at Siesta Key for about an hour and drove home along the barrier island so Chelsea could see downtown Sarasota, St. Armand's Key, Longboat Key and Coquina Beach. It was a beautiful drive and there were lots of boats out on the water today.
Bruce decided it was one of his best Father's Days ever! We're all just relaxing in our pj's after much needed showers and now we're going to watch National Treasure Two.
